Prayer Laborers,

This month please pray for progress toward 2025 goals. Thank you for interceding on behalf of Courage Youth staff, platforms and, most importantly, Courage Youth learners.

~ Courage Youth Lead Team, Life Coaches & Management Committee

CLASS & CLUB

  • Goal: Increase learner participation across all sites to 1629.

  • Progress: Currently we have 565 learners in our clubs across Courage Youth sites. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication exhibited by our learners towards their personal growth.

  • Request: For the Holy Spirit’s intervention in the character transformation of Courage Youth members.

COMPASSION

  • Goal:  Conduct Pregnancy Awareness Campaign.  (CYSA social workers  and the director of a local pregnancy help center go class by class interacting with learners on sexual health and fidelity.)

  • Progress:  Thirteen days scheduled between mid-February and the end of March across our schools.

  • Requests

    • Pregnancy Awareness Campaign continues to go well in the 2nd Term (April-June).

    • Boys’ Conference, second annual sexual health and wholeness workshop for male learners: 1)  wisdom and creativity for male Life Coaches planning the workshop;  and 2) transformative results when the workshop is conducted in July.

CAREERS

  • Goal: Successful rollout of the Life After Matriculation/Job Readiness Training (LAM/JRT) program in Grade 11 and 12 classes across all our high schools.

  • Progress: We are pleased to have successfully completed 50% of our 2025 Grade 12 LAM/JRT workshops.

  • Request: For this roll out be fruitful, fall on fertile minds, and learners grasp the knowledge they receive.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Goal: Complete Career Liftoff Interest Inventory (CLii) assessments with all Courage Youth learners.  (Completing assessments for all Courage Youth members is a major step up from our grade-focused approach in past years.)

  • Progress: We are making good progress toward the goal, working smoothly with Life Coaches at the respective schools.

  • Request:  To be able to continue the pace without challenges.

EXPANSION

  • Goal: Establish a Courage Youth Club at a Community Learning Centre (CLC) in East Rand.  (CLCs offer post high school literacy, numeracy and vocational skills primarily for disadvantaged youth.)

  • Progress: Initial Courage Youth club engagement planned starting in Term 2.

  • Request: For God’s wisdom as Courage Youth expands to our eighth site and this new venue.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and

do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
